However, a few weeks later and with a demo version of the base game available to play online, we now know a great deal more about the game and it is this that has got so many people excited.
That is because Wheel of Wishes does indeed have 10 pay lines, it is a higher variance slot and it does have the standard 5×3 reel set up. It is also a progressive jackpot game, which is exciting news, but it is how the progressive jackpot is organised that has sent slots gamers into a frenzy.
That is because there is not one progressive jackpot on the Wheel of Wishes slot, but four. They are the Mini, Minor, Major and Wowpot jackpots. Now if that sounds vaguely familiar to you, then that is because Microgaming operate a very similar set up in their Mega Moolah slot.
On Mega Moolah you have the Mini, Minor and Major jackpots and the last jackpot is the Mega jackpot, which gives the slot its name and which is seeded at 1,000,000 as a bare minimum, depending on which currency you play the game in.
This means, that if you win the Mega jackpot, you are guaranteed to win a million, and often it can be much more than that. The highest numeric value won on the Mega Moolah slot is over 20 million (which was won in Euros at the start of 2019) and there have been several jackpot prizes over the 10 million mark.
What has got people very excited however is that in the demo version of the Wheel of Wishes slot, the progressive jackpots are all shown with random figures shown in each. The Mini and Minor jackpots are around the same prizes as you would win on Mega Moolah, around 7 – 10 for the Mini jackpot, 70 – 100 for the Minor. The Major prize is shown at around the 50,000 mark, which is slightly higher than the standard prize you would land for this prize on Mega Moolah.
But the WowPot jackpot is shown as crossing the 2 million mark and this has led to speculation that this brand-new slot from Microgaming could well be seeded at 2 million, double the amount that the current Mega Moolah slot is seeded at. Indeed, a quick check of the game information on the demo version of the base game seems to state that the top jackpot minimum prize will be a massive 2 million.
It is this simple fact that has so many people excited to see what Wheel of Wealth offers when it is released early in 2020, but what else do we know about the other aspects of the game, including the base game?
Wheel of Wishes Base Game
A quick glance at the demo version of the game reveals a slot that has a number of lower value symbols including a purple circle, plus the four playing card symbols. Higher value symbols include a number of items including glass vials, a treasure chest, a necklace and a magic lamp. Wins of up to 12,250x your stake are possible in the base game.
The slot also features a Wild symbol, which can be stacked across all five reels and there is also a Scatter symbol, which is the Wheel of Wealth symbol and you need to land two or more of these across the reels in order to unlock the Wheel of Wealth Power Spin mode.
When you do, the middle three reels will turn into a single reel with extra-large 3×3 symbols of each of the standard and bonus symbols on the reels. In addition, the symbols on the first and fifth reels will be matched and displayed. If you can then match your Power symbol with the symbols on the first and fifth reels, you can land a big win.
