It is tempting to think that all forms of sports betting are generally the same, but in truth, they can be very different. One of the biggest differences can come in the duration of an event that you are betting on. For example, if you are betting on an Esports game, or a Virtual Sports offering, you can know the result of your bet within a couple of minutes.
Alternatively, if you are betting on the outcome of an entire season of fixtures, such as which NFL team will win the Superbowl in 2021, then you may have to wait almost an entire year or more to know the outcome of the bet, or at least until the team you have backed have been officially eliminated from contention to win the Superbowl.
In this article, we are going to take a much longer-term view of betting and look at some of the fantastic futures markets you can find available at bet365 Sport right now, across a wider range of different sports, all of which though will have global interest.
As always, we love using bet365 Sport for our sports betting and the latest bet365 New Player Bonus is one well worth a closer look if you have not already signed up. Not only is a great deal in its own right but once you have completed the bonus, you can also access the other bonus offers on its sister sites such as bet365 Poker, bet365 Casino or bet365 Bingo.
Remember too that it is not just in the UK that placing sports bets for longer term sports events, even if they are many months in the future, is very appealing. In the United States, many punters in states that allow gambling enjoy a wager on these future markets. In Indiana, you can use the code HOOSIERBONUS, the latest BetRivers Affiliate Code, to help you get signed up with a top sports betting site in the state. In Pennsylvania, you can get the latest playsugarhouse promo code information from this link to help you get signed up in this state.
What are the top Futures Markets to bet on now at bet365?
NFL Super Bowl LV – To Win Outright

We may have mentioned the NFL in our introduction but there are some great futures markets available for you including which of the 32 teams will win Super Bowl LV, which will take place in early 2021.
After the NFL Draft this past weekend, plus including an exciting free agency period which has seen Tom Brady switch to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then subsequently joined by former Patriot’s team mate Rob Gronkowski, who has come out of retirement to play for the Bucs next season, and which still rumbles on, this could well be one of the most open NFL seasons in many a year.
Indeed, with no team ranked below a 100/1 chance to win the Lombardi Trophy at the very end of next season, it does seem to suggest that this year could well be one of the closest in the history of the NFL.
Looking at the odds available in the screenshot, the Kansas City Chiefs, who are the current Superbowl holders are the 13/2 joint favourites with the Baltimore Ravens, who had another outstanding draft at the weekend. Others to watch out for include Tom Brady’s Bucs who have been backed right in to just 11/1, while teams like the Bills (20/1), Titans (25/1) and the improving Browns (28/1) could also be worth a closer look.
Other futures markets you can bet on in the NFL include which teams will win each of the eight divisions in the AFC and NFC, as well as which collegiate team will win the NCAAF Championship next year, and which team will win the CFL (Canadian Football League) title.
T20 Cricket World Cup – To Win Outright

Later on this year, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in Australia starting in the middle of October and progressing through until mid-November. 16 teams have earned a place in the tournament thus far;
- Hosts – Australia
- Top 9 ranked T20 Teams – Pakistan, India, England, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
- Six teams qualifying from the Qualifiers – Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Namibia, Scotland and Oman.
The tournament will be played across seven venues in Australia, in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
The First Round will see the lowest ranked teams from the 10 automatic qualifiers (Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) drawn into a group with three of the six qualifiers. Those groups have already been drawn and put together Ireland, Oman, Papua New Guinea and Sri Lanka in Group A, with Bangladesh, Namibia, Netherlands and Scotland in Group B.
The winners of Group A and the runner’s up in Group B will then go into the Super 12 stage joining West Indies, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia in Group 1, while the winners of Group B and the runner’s up of Group A go into Group 2 alongside Afghanistan, England, India and South Africa.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage semifinals, with the final played between the two winners of those games on the 15th November in Melbourne.
Unsurprisingly Australia are the favourites at 5/2 being on home soil with India 7/2 shots and England 4/1. Current holders of the title, West Indies, who beat England in the 2016 final, are 8/1.
Tour de France – To Win Outright
It is very rare that we feature cycling in these pages, but with the Tour de France now switched to later in the year, we have a chance to assess the chances of the top riders in the event. Chris Froome and Egan Bernal are the two favourites for the race, both at 10/3 at present with bet365, while Primoz Roglic and Geraint Thomas are also both rated as 13/2 second favourites.
The event is one of the toughest events in the world to win and takes riders across many different parts of France, through rolling countryside, up and down mountains and it is not only tough, but on occasions, extremely dangerous at times.
Bet365 is offering betting on which of the riders will land victory in this toughest of endurance events.
Snooker World Championship – To Win Outright
Another sporting event switched to later in the year is the World Snooker Championship, which is played at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Last year, Judd Trump was the winner of the biggest prize in snooker earning his first ever World title and completing seven century-plus breaks in the final, which set a new record in the event.
Trump has enjoyed another stellar year this year, but with Ronnie O’Sullivan resurgent and Neil Robertson, Mark Selby, John Higgins, Ding Junhui and Mark Williams still very much in the frame, it promises to be an exciting tournament later this year.
You can bet on which of the players you think will win the tournament outright this year, with current champion Judd Trump the clear 5/2 favourite with bet365 at present.
