It’s a rest week for the Premier League, although its top players will not be enjoying any time off as they jet to all corners of the earth to prepare for a number of key international games, including the next double-header of Euro 2020 qualifiers taking place across Europe later this week. We’ll bring you our preview of some top games in that later this week, but for now we are going to focus on some of the more unusual Premier League bets available at bet365 Sport.
While many people enjoy a flutter on the Premier League each week, making accumulator bets or just backing a player to score a goal, or even backing a team to win it, there are a number of other bets that are worth a look and worth considering given that we are now almost a quarter of the way into the season.
In this article, we are going to have a look at some of these more unusual bets available at the time of writing with bet365 Sport, especially the ones that we feel offer punters good value for money.

Premier League to win Outright

For the first time this season, Liverpool have been installed as the 4/6 favourites to win the Premier League after their barnstorming start to the season that has seen them win all eight of their games so far. That combined with Manchester City’s shock 2-0 home defeat by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend has seen City drift out in the betting to 13/10.
Incredibly, Chelsea are the next best priced team and they are a staggering 80/1 to win the title, which just highlights the dominance of the top two.
That price on City looks tempting, especially when you see Liverpool’s run of games when they get back from the international break which includes games against Manchester United away, two Champions League clashes with Genk plus games against Tottenham and Man City at home in the Premier League and Arsenal at home in the Carabao Cup.
However, while City’s run of games looks easier on paper, as we have seen this season, they are prone to slip ups and with the potential of Bernardo Silva facing a ban, as well as injuries to a couple of key players, this could well be a difficult month or two for City to finish off the year.
If Liverpool can come through their tricky run of games and either maintain or even increase their lead over City in that time, then you can bet that the 4/6 available now, will be the best odds you will get on the Reds to lift the title all season long.
Liverpool Specials

With Liverpool having started the season with eight wins in a row, there is now growing interest in some of the bets you can make on the Reds. You can get 25/1 on them right now to go the entire season unbeaten in the Premier League and emulate Arsenal’s “invincibles” team. They are the only team in the division that can do this.
However, it is worth noting that they have lost this season (in Naples to Napoli) and were somewhat fortunate to win both their last three games. This team does look beatable, but the Reds are having the rub of the green go their way too. As such, it is not a bet I would consider placing, especially when you think that they still have Manchester City away in April, and City at home in November.
Another bet is Liverpool to smash the 100 points mark, or more precisely to get over 100.5 points. The Reds are 4/1 to do that and those odds look tempting but I would hold off a little while yet on the bet as they have a very tough run of games coming up. If they can keep this winning record going through, then they stand every chance of getting close to Manchester City’s record haul of 102 points from 2017.
Man City Special

My best value bet is the one available at bet365 now which has Manchester City at even money to have over 4.5 defeats over the course of the season. Having lost twice in their opening eight games, bet365 are reckoning City will lose just twice more, or fewer, over the remaining 30 games of the season.
That is going to be a tall order when you consider City will be in the Champions League, have injuries to key players in defence, could be without key man Bernardo Silva through suspension for a while and they are also looking very shaky defensively against teams with pace who can hit them on the break, as Wolves did so well last weekend.
They have also only played Tottenham at home of the big six, which means that they still have away days to come at all those teams, plus home games against five of them, including two Manchester derbies. Given how City are playing and their injuries, I think this is a great value bet and I’d take the even money on City losing five games or more this season.
Especuially when you consider that they face a run of games including Crystal Palace away, Liverpool away, Chelsea at home, Newcastle away, Burnley away and Man Utd at home in the next couple of months or so, on top of their Champions League commitments and with key players missing for a good chunk of those games.
