Lets now start with a look at some of the biggest sports events coming up this Spring all of which have ante post betting available right now at bet365 Sport.
March Madness (Starts March 14th)
If you are a sports fan in the United States and follow the College Basketball season, then March Madness will be right up your street. The action begins with the Selection Sunday on the 14th March when the 72 teams competing will be decided. The action then begins on Thursday 18th March with the First Four, a preliminary round featuring the eight lowest ranked teams facing off against each other for a place in the first round.
What follows is then a straight knockout through to the NCAA Championship Game on Monday April 5th where the new Champions of the NCAAB season will be crowned. This season, two teams have dominated proceedings both going unbeaten, Gonzaga and Baylor.
Ante Post Markets – Bet365 are offering betting on which of the top college basketball teams will come out on top in March Madness and win the NCAAB Championship with the two unbeaten teams Gonzaga (13/4 favourites) and Baylor (7/2) leading the betting. Michigan are 13/2 before the prices drift considerably to Villanova at 15/1 and Illinois and Ohio State at 18/1. Form suggests it is a straight choice between Baylor and Gonzaga here and my tip would be to back Baylor at 7/2.
Cheltenham Festival (16th – 19th March)

Arguably the biggest jumps meeting of the year, the Cheltenham Festival is always one of the biggest meetings of the year for horse racing fans. With so many great races and all the top hurdlers and steeplechasers in attendance, the meeting is always a massive hit with horse racing fans across the world.
Spread across four days and with a massive choice of races across each day, highlights include the Arkle Chase, Champion Hurdle, Coral Cup, Champion Chase, Ryanair Chase, Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle and of course, the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Ante Post Markets – Bet365 have antepost betting available on every race at the Cheltenham Festival this year, not just the more prestigious races, so you really can go through the card for each of the four days of the festival. My big tip for the entire festival though is Al Boum Photo for the Cheltenham Gold Cup (3/1). I think that price will shorten as we get nearer to race time. Remember too, declarations for each race won’t be made until much nearer the time, so there’s no guarantee the horse you back will run in the race it is down for. Many horses have entries into a number of races and will decide which one to challenge for nearer the time.
Premier League Darts (Starts April 5th)

After the World Championship, the Premier League of Darts is without doubt the one the players most want to win alongside the World Matchplay. The next tournament will play its first phase behind closed doors in April, with the first set of games from April 5th to 9th and then a second date later in the month from April 19th to 22nd.
Glen Durrant (16/1) will be defending the title he won last year against the likes of favourite Michael van Gerwen (11/5), current World Champion Gerwyn Price (9/4) and Scottish duo Peter Wright (9/2) and Gary Anderson (10/1). Â
Dimitri van den Bergh (10/1) Jose De Sousa (16/1), Nathan Aspinall (20/1), Jonny Clayton (28/1) and Rob Cross (40/1) make up the remaining players in what should be a very interesting competition for darts fans to enjoy in April on TV with the prospect of fans being allowed for the second phase of the tournament at some point in May.
Ante Post Markets – Michael van Gerwen is the pre-tournament favourite with bet365 for the Premier League but this looks to be a very open event and as Glen Durrant showed last year, any of the ten players competing can win it. My tip here is the 10/1 shot Dimitri van den Bergh, the young Belgian has all the qualities of a future World Champion and I think he will be a real challenger in this event with the shorter format games suiting him nicely.
The Masters Golf Tournament (April 8th – 11th)

The last Masters tournament was played back in November and was won for the first time in his career by the current world number 1, Dustin Johnson. The American ace is one of the big favourites to win the tournament again this year with it being played at its more usual place of early April in the calendar.
There was no doubt that conditions in November helped the players shoot lower rounds as the course was much wetter. That may not be the case in April, where Augusta may well show her teeth, especially if the course has dried out a little. Coming just six months after the last tournament, it promises to be an intriguing tournament.
Ante Post Markets – Dustin Johnson picked up his first Green Jacket last autumnand the current world number 1 is ranked as the 11/2 favourite in the ante-post betting market.  I do think it is going to be hard for him to repeat that success again just six months later and the two 10/1 shots, Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy look tempting bets, as do Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas at 11/1. I’d make an each way bet on this market and pick Tyrell Hatton at 28/1 to go deep in the tournament.
Grand National (10th April)
This year’s Aintree Spring meeting sees the Grand National run at teatime on Saturday 10th April. This is always one of the most popular betting events of the year in the UK and there are a number of intriguing options available. Can Tiger Roll (20/1) make it three wins in a row to elevate himself alongside Red Rum in Grand National history? Will his main challengers be Cloth Cap (14/1), Secret Reprieve (16/1) or any of the other potential runners.
The situation as to what may happen at Aintree does become clearer after the Cheltenham Festival when many of these horses will have their final run ahead of the Liverpool meeting, but if you want some great prices and early betting action on the big race, now is the time to place your bet.
Ante Post Markets – As with the Cheltenham Festival, not all the horses shown on the Ante Post list will run in the race, so selecting a winner can be very tricky. Tiger Roll (20/1) is the one that catches the eye of most and there is no doubt that his odds will be around half that by the time the race starts, all being well. My each way tip though is the current 33/1 shot Farclas.
