After a break of a couple of weeks while the final international round of fixtures of the year was contested, the Champions League and Europa League are back this week and over the next few weeks, the final three games in the Group Stage of both competitions will be completed.
In this article, we are going to focus on the most prestigious of the two tournaments, the Champions League and focus in on some of the key clashes that are coming up on Matchday 4, which takes place across Tuesday and Wednesday evening this week. Four Premier League teams will be in action across both those nights, with many seeking to earn qualification for the Knockout Phase of the tournament as quickly as possible.

Let’s now take a look ahead to some of the big games coming up in the Champions League over the next couple of nights, starting with the games this evening.
Champions League: Key Fixtures – Tuesday 24th November
All games kick off at 8.00pm unless otherwise stated.
Rennes v Chelsea (5.55pm)
If things go right for Chelsea in this game (and also the Krasnodar v Sevilla clash) and Chelsea and Sevilla both win, then they would lock up qualification into the next phase of the competition after four games. Chelsea were comfortable 3-0 winners the last time these two teams met a couple of weeks ago and while Rennes will be a trickier prospect on home soil, I would still expect Chelsea, who are in great form at the moment, to do enough to take the win here. I would not back Chelsea to win outright here as the odds are too short but Chelsea to win and both teams to score is 21/10 with bet365 and I think that is a good value bet.
Manchester United v Istanbul Basaksehir
After two brilliant wins over PSG and Red Bull Leipzig, Man Utd went down to a shock defeat in Turkey to Basaksehir last time out and that result has really opened up this group a great deal. United know that a win here will put them in a very strong position to qualify but any slip up could let in all three of the other teams in this group. The pressure is on the Red Devils here but I am backing them to get the job done against a Basaksehir side who probably won’t be as effective on the road as they were at home. Back Manchester United to win this one by a 2-0 scoreline at odds of 6/1 with bet365 Sport.
Paris St Germain v Red Bull Leipzig
The second game in Manchester United’s group is another key one. PSG have just three points from their games so far, Red Bull have six so a win here for PSG is vital as anything less would leave them trailing Red Bull on head-to-head record. The French side should have Mbappe fit for this game, which is a boost, but Neymar is still absent through injury. The teams have met twice recently, winning one of those games apiece, but I think this one will go in favour of the home side. Back Paris St Germain to win and both teams to score at 7/4 with bet365.
Champions League: Key Fixtures – Wednesday 25th November
Olympiakos v Manchester City (5.55pm)
Having defeated the Greek side 3-0 on Matchday 3 at the Etihad and with a 100% record in their group games, Pep Guardiola will be eyeing a win here which would see City qualify for the knockout phase and allow them to rest players over the remaining two group games. In truth, even with City’s rocky form in the Premier League, I can’t see them falling by the wayside here and I think they will record a straightforward win. Back Man City to win 2-0 at 11/2.
Liverpool v Atalanta
Having thumped their Italian opponents 5-0 a couple of weeks back, Diogo Jota scoring a hat-trick in the game, Liverpool will be hoping that a win here would signify their fourth successive win in the group stage and it would also mean that the Reds would qualify for the knockout phase. I can’t see Atalanta being quite as poor as they were against Liverpool in that game and they could be dangerous on the counter attack, but the Reds fine win over Leicester at the weekend has them well set up here and with their home record as it is, they should land the win they would want. Back Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 13/8 with bet365.
Inter Milan v Real Madrid
With both these teams lying in 3rd and 4th places in their group, this is a huge game for both and defeat here could leave the loser in real danger of missing out on the Knockout phase in the New Year. Real were narrow 3-2 winners when the teams met a few weeks back but their record in Italy and against Inter is very poor, with just 2 draws and 6 losses in eight games in Italy against this opponent and with Inter in decent form in Serie A, I am backing them to land the win here which could put the pressure on Real in the final two group games. Take Inter to win at 21/20 with bet365.
