You may recall that last week we took a look around how the top leagues in Europe were going over this first third of the season.
Well since then, things have got somewhat tasty in the Premier League, with Arsenal still leading the way, Manchester City hot on their heels but for Liverpool, it has been a real struggle as they have suffered back to back defeats against Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
Well, this coming weekend we have two incredible games to look forward to amongst the ten matches set to be played on Saturday and Sunday.
First up at Sunday lunchtime we have a London derby as Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in what should be a crackling encounter between the two, especially with the form that the Gunners have been in of late.
Then later on Sunday afternoon, we have struggling Liverpool attempting to end their away day woes against a Tottenham side who are very much focused on closing the gap to Manchester City and Arsenal above them in the table.
As always, you can enjoy a fantastic selection of betting on the Premier League this weekend with Bet365 Sport, who offer extensive pre-match betting across all games, as well as a wealth of In Play betting options when the matches are in progress too,
Let’s now take a closer look at each of the games coming up this weekend in the EPL, together with a look at how the current table stands.

Premier League Fixtures & Tips
Kick off times are 3pm unless otherwise shown in brackets.
Saturday 5th November
- Leeds United v Bournemouth
Leeds win at Anfield last week was a massive boost for the Yorkshire side and moved them away from the relegation positions. Bournemouth’s recent form has been very good and the Cherries have proven tough to beat and with Leeds home form not being great I can see a scenario where this game sees the teams both share the points.
Tip: Can Leeds turn that win at Anfield into a catalyst for better things? Bournemouth are a tough team to beat though, so I am going for the draw here at 14/5.
- Manchester City v Fulham
Manchester City remain two points behind Arsenal but three ahead of Spurs in third and with a game in hand over Tottenham. They are perfect at home this season, winning all six games, scoring a huge 27 goals in those games. Fulham have picked up seven points in their away games this season to lie 7th in the table, a fantastic achievement, but I don’t see them capable of landing anything here.
Tip: It is hardly a surprise that I am backing Manchester City for the win here. But at 1/8, you aren’t going to get too wealthy off the back of that bet!
- Nottingham Forest v Brentford
Forest remain bottom of the table despite their win over Liverpool while Brentford are six points better off and in 11th place in the table. The Bees away form is a concern though as they have not yet won on the road, but this away trip to a struggling Forest offers them arguably their best opportunity to end that run this season. Forest’s sole wins this season have come at home but this is a tricky game against a solid Brentford side.
Tip: Forest may have won their last home game v Liverpool but they were thrashed by Arsenal and I think the Bees could make this a tough afternoon for the home side. Take Brentford to win at 31/20.
- Wolverhampton Wanderers v Brighton
There are rumours Wolves could be set to appoint Julen Lopetegui as their next manager, but there’s no doubt that this lengthy search for Lago’s replacement has not helped the team. Brighton thrashed Chelsea last week at home, winning 4-1 in a superb display showing why they have been fixtures in the top half all season. The Seagulls should be very confident heading into this game.
Tip: Wolves struggles this season are well-documented and Brighton’s superb form cannot be overlooked. I am backing the Seagulls to land the win here at 23/20.
- Everton v Leicester City
Both of these teams have started to find a bit of form of late. Everton’s home record isn’t great with just 8 points from their six home games, while Leicester have managed just three points on the road this season and have conceded 19 goals in those games. Everton should see that as a chance to pick up a big win here, but this Leicester side is starting to look much more like its old self and I am expecting them to climb the table quickly from here.
Tip: We’re starting to see better from both of these teams in more recent weeks, so I think a draw is probably the best bet here at 12/5.
Sunday 6th November
- Chelsea v Arsenal (12pm)
What a game this promises to be as Chelsea put their undefeated home record on the line against the team with the best away record in the Premier League at the moment. No team has scored more goals than Arsenal on the road (11) or conceded fewer (4), but Chelsea have won three and drawn two of their five home games. Arsenal hold the advantage though in the most recent meetings with Chelsea winning just one of the last six and that could be key here.
Tip: This promises to be an intriguing battle Arsenal hold the advantage in the most recent games between the two so I am backing them here to land a huge away win which is 13/8.
- Aston Villa v Manchester United (2pm)
Villa have won half their home games this season (3 of 6 with one draw too), but they face a United side who have that exact same record from their away games. Erik Ten Hag’s team is starting to look much more like a traditional United side now and while they are still struggling to score goals, just 17 in their 12 games, they are much more difficult to beat. This will be a tight, close game but I just feel the visitors have more momentum coming into it.
Tip: Villa need the points, but so do United and I think this time it will be the away team that lands them at even money.
- Southampton v Newcastle United (2pm)
Southampton have won just once at home this season, winning more on the road, while Newcastle have won two of their six away games, but have also drawn three, their only loss coming in a very late defeat at Anfield. Southampton are a tough team to predict but they are up against a Newcastle side brimming with confidence and who are looking the real deal this season. As such, I cannot go against the men from Tyneside here.
Tip: Newcastle have been rock solid this season, I am backing them here at 10/11.
- West Ham United v Crystal Palace (2pm)
The Hammers form has been a little erratic this season, but so has Crystal Palace’s especially on the road where they are yet to win a game. The Hammers have won half of their six home games, drawing one of the others. Palace have scored just three goals on the road this season and I can’t see that being enough to get the job done here. This will be a tight game and there may only be one goal scored in it in my view.
Tip: This will be a close one, but I fancy West Ham to sneak the win here at 10/11.
- Tottenham Hotspurs v Liverpool (4.30pm)
Both these teams enjoyed big wins in midweek in the Champions League to move into the next phase of the tournament and so they will come into this game in good shape. Liverpool’s away record though in the Premier League is poor with no wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats from their road trips this season. Spurs’ home record is very good with five wins and a defeat from six games at home. Games between these two teams have been close in recent years but Spurs look to have the edge here.
Tip: Liverpool’s away form means we can only back Spurs to win here at 9/5.
