Another solid week with 6 out of our 10 Premier League predictions being bang on the money last week and I am confident that we can continue this excellent run of form. Indeed, it was only a few surprise results, such as Manchester United’s draw with Wolves and Chelsea losing their 100% winning record away at West Ham that stopped me landing even more winners.

Liverpool continued their winning ways and notched up their sixth win in six games with a solid 3-0 win over Southampton, although the Reds face a much tougher test in the next couple of weeks, facing Chelsea away this coming weekend and then Manchester City at home the week after, with a Champions League game away to Napoli sandwiched in between.
Wolves provided another taster for how much they have improved as a team with a fine 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United. It was the least that the visitors deserved after a fine display which could have easily seen them win the game.
Manchester City carried on with their demolition of the Premier League’s lesser lights with a 5-0 away win over Cardiff, while Burnley returned to form in style with a thumping 4-0 win over Bournemouth which moved them off the foot of the table.

Premier League Matchday 7 Preview and Tips
Outlined below are the odds on the Full Time Result market for the games this weekend as provided by bet365.
*Odds correct as of 2pm GMT on Tuesday 25th September 2018
Last weekend saw some big games but this weekend sees some even greater matches as top of the table Liverpool put their 100% record on the line away to third place Chelsea on Saturday, just a few days after the two teams meet in the Carabao Cup. There’s another big game in London earlier in the day as West Ham entertain Manchester United in what should be a good clash at the London Stadium.
Here’s my full selection of tips for each of the ten games on Matchday 7 of the Premier League this weekend.
- West Ham United v Manchester United – Away Win
The Hammers recent record against Manchester United is dreadful with just one win in their last 18 games between the teams, a 3-2 win at Upton Park in May 2016. United have had much the better of this fixture in recent years, including winning 4-0 at Old Trafford last season, although the return game ended 0-0 at the London Stadium. I think West Ham will put up a stern resistance here but I think United seem to be playing better away from home at the moment and I am backing them to get the win here, likely by a 2-1 scoreline.
- Arsenal v Watford – Home Win
Watford have actually won two of the last three games with Arsenal and their record of 12 wins, one draw and just 15 losses in their history against Arsenal isn’t a bad one. The Gunners however have won all of their last five matches and they ran out 3-0 winners in this same fixture last season. I’m still not convinced they’ll keep a clean sheet, especially against this Watford team, but I fancy the Gunners to win, though there could be a few goals in this one to keep the fans entertained.
- Everton v Fulham – Draw
Fulham have a shocking record against Everton with just one win and two draws in their last eleven matches and their last win at Goodison Park came in the FA Cup back in 1975. The Cottagers have never beaten Everton at Goodison in a league game of any sort and given their defensive frailties, as exposed by Watford at the weekend, it is hard to see how they will improve on that record here. Everton though are in a bit of a slump themselves but I fancy them to get back to winning ways here.
- Huddersfield Town v Tottenham – Away Win
I really fear for Huddersfield Town this season. Last season as the new boys they had the surprise factor at least on some teams, but that is diminished this season and performances are suffering. Spurs bounced back to winning ways with a solid win at Brighton, even though they were hanging on a little at the end, but I am backing them to make it an away double with another comfortable win here.
- Manchester City v Brighton – Home Win
City have smashed plenty of goals past Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City this season (11 in those two games alone) and I think Brighton, who don’t travel well anyway, are in for another torrid afternoon in front of City’s home fans here. I can’t see City grabbing as many goals as in those two big wins, but I do think they’ll run out comfortable winners here as the odds suggest.
- Newcastle United v Leicester – Draw
Newcastle will be delighted with their point from the game away to Crystal Palace last weekend and manager Rafa Benitez will no doubt be looking for another strong showing here. They’ll have to be at their best against a Leicester side that won last week against Huddersfield and who have generally played well this season. That said, I think Newcastle are overdue a home performance and I think the fans will get one here, though I think it will only be enough to secure a point against a good Leicester City side.
- Wolves v Southampton – Home Win
I’ve been so impressed with Wolves since they returned to the top flight, drawing at home to Everton and Man City and earning a point at Manchester United has seen them make a superb start and I fancy them to get the result they want here against a Southampton side that were well beaten at Anfield last week and who I think may well start to struggle as the season progresses.
- Chelsea v Liverpool – Draw
The biggest game of the weekend comes at Stamford Bridge and can Chelsea end Liverpool’s unbeaten winning run? I think they will but I can’t see the home side clinching the win. This Liverpool team looks so much more solid defensively and with their attackers, they can score against any team. That said, Chelsea have so many talented players themselves and have a good record at home over the years against Liverpool. I expect a close battle and perhaps a 1-1 draw to be the final result.
- Cardiff City v Burnley – Draw
Sunday’s only game sees two of the relegation battlers clash at the Cardiff City Stadium with Burnley the visitors. Neil Warnock will have had this fixtures circled as a must win home game but they face a Burnley side with renewed confidence following their 4-0 win over Bournemouth last week. As such, I can’t see Cardiff fans celebrating that elusive first win of the season just yet as I am backing Burnley to snatch a draw here.
- Bournemouth v Crystal Palace – Home Win
After a 4-0 mauling at Burnley last week, Bournemouth will want to get back to winning ways at home and they take on a Crystal Palace side that are struggling for goals at the moment. Eddie Howe’s men are frustratingly inconsistent at times, but so are Palace and this is a tricky game to predict, however the home team are the pick here as they are at home, in better form and at the moment, are scoring lots more goals than the visitors.
