The football season may be over in terms of action in the Premier League and Football League in England, but for many players the action has just begun. Many stars from the English league are in action at the Copa America in Brazil, the European U21 Championship in Italy and the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
However, it is not that but rather the fact that the football transfer window is now open that will have many players making a few calls to their agent to see whether that rumour in the press has any truth to it or not. And of course, speculating on where players will end up once the season starts and the transfer window closes, is one of the great joys of the pre-season period for fans.
Now Coral Sport allows you to place bets on where players could well be transferred to over the course of the summer with their Player Specials bets.
All you need to do to place a bet is be a member of Coral and if you aren’t then you can read about the latest Coral promotional offers right here to get the lowdown on which is the best deal for you.

What are Player Special Bets at Coral?

If you visit the Football section at Coral Sport and then look under the Specials bets, in amongst the Smart Boosts, #YOURCALL, Premier League Specials and Manager Specials bets are the Player Specials bets.
What this is, is a list of players that have been linked, usually in the press, with a transfer away from their current club during the current transfer window. Some players have been more strongly linked with a move away than others of course and there is no guarantee that the players selected will be transferred.
But what you can do is click on a player you are interested in and then look at the details of the bet and decide which of the teams listed you think the player will end up signing for.
The transfer window ends on Thursday 8th August at 5pm UK time and this is also the closing date for bets to be made on these markets.
Make your selection, place the bet and then sit back and watch the transfer window unfold and if your player makes the move you tipped, you are a winner!
Who are some of the more interesting Player Special bets to back at Coral?
With the transfer window in full swing, there are a number of top names from the world of football who have been linked with a move in this transfer window. We are going to take a look at some of those players listed and the teams most likely to sign them.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)
The Wales superstar has reportedly been told by Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane that he has no future at the club but his huge wages of around £525,000 per week are proving to be a stumbling block to any potential deal. A return to former club Tottenham (10/1 at Coral) is unlikely as Daniel Levy is not likely to spend big and smash his wage structure, even for Bale.
Man Utd (7/2) could be tempted to make a move but probably only if they can shift Alexis Sanchez from the wage bill while a loan switch to Bayern Munich (5/1), who have had Real Madrid team mate James Rodriguez on loan the past two years, cannot be ruled out. However, it is the cash rich Chinese clubs that could hold the key here with any Chinese club transfer the 11/8 shot, but in truth we can’t see Bale accepting such a deal and he may well elect to stay in Madrid.
Our Tip – Don’t place a bet here, Bale could dig his heels in and stay at least until the Christmas window when a loan deal could be an option.
Neymar (Paris St Germain)

Paris may be the city of romance, but it seems Neymar has fallen out of love with the club that paid £222 million for him a couple of years ago and it seems a move back to Spain is in the offing for the currently injured Brazilian superstar.
Barcelona are the 11/8 favourites to re-sign the player with Real Madrid 2/1 and Manchester United a rank outsider at 25/1. In truth, it is likely to be a straight choice for Neymar between the two Spanish clubs depending on the offers made to PSG, who won’t want to sell cheaply, and the player.
Neymar may want to head to Barcelona, but with Real Madrid waiting in the wings, I think the 2/1 on the Madrid club perhaps snapping up Neymar, maybe with Gareth Bale to sweeten the deal going the other way, is a possibility. Similarly, Barcelona could offer a player plus cash deal involving Brazilian Philippe Coutinho going to PSG.
Our Tip – This saga could run and run and while Real have already made a bid, I think Barcelona could make a move once the Copa America is completed. Back Barcelona here at 11/8.
Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
Having made a public announcement of his intention to move away from United recently, it seems it is a matter of when, not if, Paul Pogba will move on from Old Trafford. His former club Juventus (11/8) have been strongly linked with a move for their former player, while so too have Real Madrid (5/4) with Zinedine Zidane reportedly keen on his compatriot to play a key role in his new look Madrid team.
PSG (18/1) and Barcelona (22/1) are the outside bets here and in truth, I can’t really see a need for Pogba in either of these teams, so I would discount both of them and while the smart money is on Juventus, I think Real Madrid may be the place where Pogba ends up.
Our Tip – Juventus may be over-committed financially from the Ronaldo transfer last season, so I think Pogba’s most likely destination is Real Madrid.
