If there was one aspect of Bet365 Poker that was probably in need of a serious overhaul, then it was its VIP Rewards scheme. Over the years, many aspects of the site had been improved in a 
myriad of different ways, yet the Rewards scheme, a few minor tweaks apart, remained something that had changed little since it was first introduced on the site many years ago.
However with other companies coming up with a number of different and creative ways to reward their customers loyalty, it became apparent that there was a pressing need for Bet365 Poker to address this and perhaps replace their VIP Rewards club with something a little more modern, flexible and pertinent.
The site have now done that with the announcement that their Bet365 Poker Loyalty Club has gone live in August 2017.
So the question now has to be asked, does Loyalty Club offer something different to the old rewards scheme? Is it an improvement on the previous incarnation, or is it a step backwards? Let’s take a closer look at the key details of the scheme and find out.
Bet365 Loyalty Club Explained
In their new loyalty service, Bet365 have done away with all aspects of the old VIP Rewards scheme. Merit Points are therefore no longer part of the Bet365 Poker site and all the different rewards that were available on the old scheme have now been discontinued.
In its place is a fresher, newer and more flexible rewards system that has the aim of rewarding more of the Bet365 Poker community more often, with more appropriate prizes suited to the type of poker that they like to play on the site and to do this in the simplest and easiest to follow way possible.
The basic premise of the scheme remains the same; play at Bet365 Poker more often and you’ll increase the value of the rewards available to you by improving your standing within the Loyalty 
Club. All Bet365 Customers are automatically enrolled into the Loyalty Club and new customers are also automatically enrolled when they sign up too.
There are essentially two key factors that will decide what type and size of rewards you will have available to you:
- Your current Loyalty Level
- How many of the new Bet365 Coins you have managed to earn and have available in your Bet365 Coin account to spend.
To clarify what these terms actually mean, we need to first understand how the Bet365 Loyalty Club is structured and how the actual process of earning Bet365 Coins and moving through the Loyalty Levels works.
The key to this is the denomination which powers the new Loyalty Club and these are called Status Points.
How do I earn Status Points and what do they mean?
Essentially, Status Points are the ‘currency’ of the Bet365 Loyalty Club. Every time you play any form of poker at Bet365 now, you will earn status points as you play (provided you are playing for real money). Essentially, these are the replacements for the old Merit Points used on the old VIP Reward scheme.
In the new Loyalty Club, you earn Status Points at the same rate regardless of what particular form of poker you are playing on the site. How many Status Points you earn when playing is based either on your contribution to the Rake (when playing Cash Game poker) or the Tournament Fee (when playing in Sit & Go and Tournament games).
In either case, you earn a total of 10 Status Points for every £1 or €1 that you contribute in Rake or Tournament Fees.
As you play on the site throughout the qualification period (which always lasts for the calendar month) you will start to accrue Status Points. What then happens is as you gain more of these points, you will start to move through the different Level Steps available at your Loyalty Club Level.
What are Level Steps and how do they work?
Each of the five Loyalty Club Levels (which we will explore in more details below) are comprised of a number of Level Steps within each. You need to accumulate the stated number of Status Points to move through the different Level Steps in each level.
As you complete each Level Step on your current Loyalty Level, you will earn yourself a Bet365 Coin prize when you complete a level. The more levels you complete, then the more Bet365 Coins you will receive.
If you can complete all the Level Steps for your current level within the qualifying period, then you will move onto the next Loyalty Level. You can then start to complete the different Level Steps at this level, earning greater value Bet365 Coin rewards as you do so.
Bet365 Loyalty Club Levels and how they work
There are five different Loyalty Levels within the Bet365 Loyalty Club and the number of different Status Points you need to earn to complete all the Level Steps in each is outlined below. All new customers will start at the Bronze Level when they sign up with Bet365 Poker.
- Bronze – 0 to 29 Status Points
- Silver – 30 to 199 Status Points
- Gold – 200 to 799 Status Points
- Platinum – 800 to 14,999 Status Points
- Diamond – 15,000+ Status Points
The real value in moving through the scheme becomes apparent when you start to look at the different rewards available for you as you move through the Levels. When this happens the size and 
value of the rewards you will obtain increases. Furthermore, if you are lucky enough to reach the Diamond Level then you will also receive a bonus 2,500 Bet365 Coin payment credited to your balance immediately.
So the process in full is to play real cash games at Bet365 Poker to earn Status Points. Earn enough Status Points to complete your Level Steps in each Loyalty Level and when you complete all the Level Steps, you will then move onto the next Loyalty Level. As you progress through the Loyalty Levels, the value of the Bet365 Coin bonuses you earn for completing each Level Step will increase.
This is just one way you can earn Bet365 Coins but what makes the new Loyalty Club so appealing is that there are other ways you can earn these coins too. Let’s now take a look at some of the other ways in which coins can be earned to help bolster your monthly Bet365 Coin balance.
Loyalty Tournaments
In conjunction with the release of Loyalty Club, Bet365 Poker have also announced that there will be a number of different tournaments in support of it available to play in on the site. Each day there will be a €100 Bronze Loyalty Club Tournament played which is open to all Loyalty Club members.
If you are a Silver Member, you can enter the €500 Silver Loyalty Club Tournament while any member that has reached Gold Level or above can choose to play in the €5000 Mega Loyalty Club Tournament, which starts at 8pm GMT on the final Saturday in each month.
The higher up the Loyalty Levels you climb, the more choice you have in which of the three different types of Loyalty Tournaments you can play in over the course of the qualifying period.
Loyalty Missions
In addition to these tournaments, Bet365 Poker is also running regular Loyalty Missions which allow players to complete missions (as they have done in their missions themed promotions over the past 12 months or so) which will earn them additional Status Points and Bet365 Coins. You need to click on the Start option for each mission before you begin and when you complete one 
mission, there will be another with a new reward available for you to try as soon as you have completed the current mission.
What rewards are available to me through the Loyalty Club?
At the end of a qualifying period your current Loyalty Level and the number of Bet365 Coins you have in your account will determine which of the rewards you can accept. Obviously, the higher your level and the greater the number of Bet365 Coins you have earned, the more rewards will be available to you.
The way the new rewards are distributed is also different. In the old scheme, you received stated rewards regardless of whether you wanted them or not. So a cash game player may well end up with a £10 buy in to a tournament, even if they didn’t actually want to play in a tournament.
With the new Loyalty Club, players can now select which of the rewards available to them they would like to receive from the Bet365 Store. This is a much more flexible way to reward players as it means players can now pick the rewards that will be more useful to them.
There are seven different types of rewards you can receive at the Bet365 Store although not all are available at all levels. The rewards are outlined below:
- Premium Steps Tickets (available for all 5 levels)
- Sit & Go Tickets (available for all 5 levels)
- Scheduled Tournament Tickets (available for all 5 levels)
- Bonus Euros (available for all 5 levels)
- Twister Poker Tickets (available for Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Levels)
- Cash Tickets (available for Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Levels)
- Real Cash Rewards (available for Platinum and Diamond Levels only)
Bet365’s new Loyalty Club is going to be hugely popular with its customers offering them more chance of more rewards and more choice about the rewards they can earn and more ways to earn them. It’s a huge step forward over the previous loyalty scheme and should ensure Bet365 Poker customers get a great deal for their loyalty going forward.
